About El Dorado
'El Dorado Myths & Legends' is a visual compilation of the mythical stories of Muisca and other indigenous cultures of Colombia. As a comic book, it shares their perspective, their unique attributes, beauty, intensity, and creativity.
The Muisca - and other Colombian indigenous cultures - did not develop writing (even though they created and utilized diverse signs and visual systems).
What we know today comes from books and historical texts, written and extracted from three main sources: oral tradition; letters and documents written by the Spanish conquerors that have outlasted the centuries; and books written by experts, sociologists, anthropologists, and other researchers.
For the first time ever, they have been compiled and illustrated as a comic book:
'El Dorado Myths & Legends'.
